Today was a good day

So after an emotional weekend and a farewell to meat party...yep you read it right lol. Yesterday a few of my closest supporters took me to a buffet and I got meat wasted lol. I had ribs, pot roast, prime rib, pulled pork, fish, chicken and some other stuff I can't remember right now. Today is day one meat free. It wasn't so bad. I made myself get up and out of the house for the day. I discovered spring rolls (eggroll with no meat) I love them. I'm also going to start working with jack fruit. I'm hoping it can be a decent replacement for ribs and chicken. I also started the chemo pills today. I really don't know how to feel about it. I'm not giving up on the alkaline therapy but I need the chemo to buy me some time. I hate chemo and the damage I know it's going to do.

At one time in my life I ate food with no animal products. Just like you said, I discovered substitutes were very satisfying. A fried portabella mushroom makes a nice hamburger, almond milk is great in place of milk and there are several olive oil spreads. There is even soy cream cheese. I wish you the best of luck in your treatment. Sending positive energy and prayers.
they have wonderful meat free recipes now, do you like beans? I love black beans and rice, veggie chili and veggie lasagna. Oh and cheese raviolis. can u have cheese? praying for u. :)

Don't eat chocolate if you have heartburn, keep a glass of water with a straw next to your bed, also for hot flashed I keep a cotton t-shirt in bed so when the sweating starts the t-shirt is cool and also absorbs the sweat
